The OpenCPI team does most of their development on 64-bit, x86, pure switched PCIe-based workstations (Intel Gulftown and EVGA X58 motherboard). Each of the development workstations host a combination of high performance GPU and FPGA development boards.
We refer to these workstations as the OpenCPI Reference Platforms. These workstations provide an inexpensive way to experiment with a heterogeneous hardware environment mixing GPP, GPU, and FPGA processor technologies on a switched fabric.
